Hi , How does fasted riding lose more weight than just eating less ? For example if i have three meals of 500 calories (one of the meals before riding) will i lose less than if i ride then eat two meals of 750 each? I had been taught it was overall kcal deficit so am curious. many thanks, Rob.
Hi , Simmon great video tip as always ; I've been trying this and it works and manage to lose 5lb so far . Getting myself ready for the NY Gran Fondo again and the Florida one as well . Just wanted to drop a line and tell you how much i appreciate your experties and advice . Thank You , Eddie . Much blessings to you and your family.
Hi Eddie, sorry for the delay. Good to hear your result. Blessings to you and your family! Good luck for NY Gran Fondo!
Hi Rob, sorry for the delay in my reply. When you ride in a fasted state your glycogen muscles stores are already depleted so your body now has to use more fat for fuel which helps burn more calories and trains your body to be more efficient at burning fat as energy. I personally don't count calories but eating before the ride (which I recommend for higher intensity rides) but eating before a ride - yes you probably won't lose weight (if that's the goal) as you are not forcing your body into a depleted state and then adding on top of that the added stress or training.
