A recovery ride is about promoting blood flow to the legs without producing much of a training response. Often cyclists will go too hard on a recovery ride thinking an easy ride is not very productive. In this video I explain why knowing how to go easy is as important as knowing how to go hard.

Motor pacing is one of the best forms of training to get you into peak form for your A road race or time trial. I started motor pacing on the track when I was 13 years old and have used motor pacing to peak and win many of my national championship titles on the road and track. As a coach it’s my preferred form of training to add the finishing touches to an A race preparation.

Here’s my review of the Giro Empire SLX road cycling shoes. I was skeptical at first about using laces but I discovered that laces work incredibly well. The Giro Empire SLX shoes weigh only 175 grams which makes the weight saving performance advantage noticeable. These shoes are super stiff but also very conformable.

Recently I spent some time in Poland with the Iceman Wim Hof. I did not ride my bike for over 2 weeks but when I got back on my bike I was very surprised to find that I felt like I had lost no fitness. This is not how I normally feel after a 2 week break.

Here is an interesting video where you will see me change my body position while keeping a sustained 280-300W. By using the Eversight glasses I was able to test the gains in speed when moving to a more aero position compared to holding more upright (like most of us ride). The gains in speed are significant!
