About Coach Simon Kessler

A Life of Learning And Pursuing Progress

I raced professionally for six years (1998–2003), earning 28 career victories and two South African Professional Road Championships. I began coaching as a junior track racer in 1992, transitioned to coaching full-time in 2004, and today I coach cyclists from my home base in Boulder, Colorado.

I work with committed cyclists who want to ride at their highest level - most of them performance-focused riders in their 40s, 50s, and 60s.

That same coaching has also developed junior and U23 talent into national champions and World Tour professionals.

The methods that build elite athletes are the ones I bring to every rider I coach.

My Approach

More Than a Training Plan.

My clients often tell me the biggest change was not physical - it was mental.

Belief, mindset, and how you handle pressure and setbacks shape every result, on the bike and off it.

Coaching with me means training the mind alongside the watts.
